Core Functions
1. User Authentication & Authorization
Description: Securely manage user access with account creation, login, password management, and protected routes.
How It Works: Users can sign up with an email and password, log in to access their protected dashboard, and use a "Forgot Password" feature to recover their account. The application header dynamically changes to reflect the user's authentication status.
2. File & Folder Management
Description: A comprehensive system for organizing and interacting with all uploaded media content.
How It Works: After logging in, users are directed to their dashboard where they can view usage quotas against their plan limits. The dashboard features a multi-file uploader with real-time progress bars. Users can create, rename, and delete folders, and the main file view displays content based on the currently selected folder.
3. User Account & Profile Settings
Description: Allows users to manage their profile details, security settings, and account status.
How It Works: From the "Settings" page, users can update their public display name and unique username. They can also securely change their email and password, both of which require re-authentication.
Key Features
User Quota Display
Description: Provides a real-time visual overview of the user's storage space used, total file count, and folder count against the limits of their current subscription tier.
How Users Access It: This feature is a prominent card displayed on the main user dashboard immediately after logging in.
Hierarchical Folder System
Description: Enables users to organize files logically within nested folders, similar to a desktop file system. This helps manage large numbers of files efficiently.
How Users Access It: Users can create, rename, and delete folders from the dashboard. Clicking on a folder updates the file view to show only the contents of that folder. Files can be moved between any folder, including the main "Root" level.
Secure Account Deletion (Danger Zone)
Description: A multi-step, secure process that permanently deletes a user's account and all associated data. This action removes the user and erases all of their uploaded files from Storage.
How Users Access It: Located in the "Danger Zone" section of the Account Settings page. It requires the user to re-enter their password to confirm this irreversible action.
Progressive Web App (PWA) Capabilities
DNLD is an installable Progressive Web App, offering a faster, more integrated experience. How It Works:
Installable: Add DNLD directly to your desktop or mobile home screen for quick access, just like a native app. Look for the install button in your browser's address bar or in the user profile menu.
Offline Access: Launch and browse the app even without an internet connection. Your previously viewed files and folders will be available, ensuring you can access your content anytime, anywhere.

Audocs is working on upgradable features for the near future, including multi-tiered paid plans, AI/generative features, and integrations, as well as public plain links. Custom user photos are another feature in development. File drag-and-drop and renaming capabilities are essential for niche downloads. A more robust support system and finalized branding are planned for late 2025.
